Ghanaians like to talk big but we seem to forget that if we don’t get the foundation right and strong, we can’t build anything on it. Our electricity is not reliable, no computers, teachers are not well averse in computing and our curriculum is antiquated and not good for purpose. But we still talk about SMART schools. Look at the quality of students that come out from our schools and compare them with students in the seventies and eighties. Wholesale education is bad for us. Has anyone asked why we can’t fix anything? It is because we don’t have the mind to do it. Our educational system is failing the country.
