KWAKU ANSAH ASARE SEEMS TO BE COMPARING APPLES TO ORANGES! THAT OHENE DJAN CASE IS A WRONG CITATION. THE LAW WAS RECENTLY AMENDED! WHY IS HE SWEATING PROFUSELY ON THE MATTER? SIR. DON’T GET A HEART ATTACK OVER THIS BECAUSE YOU WERE WRONG DAY ONE!

My question is, did Ghana’s constitution had plea bargaining laws enshrined in the constitution at the time Ohene Djan trial was held? Of course not: so it was quite clear that the said AG attempt to smuggle an alien system of plea into our laws could easily be quashed under the then circumstances.
but it’s different ballgame in 2014 because the parliament of Ghana has passed the plea bargaining laws into our constitution. I’m aware of the Ohene Djan issue because I was taught by second accused person at the Sunyani Boys Primary School. I don’t want to mention his name on this platform, but everyone who knows about the case can confirm my assertions. Though I was very young at the time, but I remember some of the excerpts of the case. So I want to point to Kwaku Ansah Asare to stop playing mockery on the Ghanaian criminal Justice laws, because he seems to be comparing apples to oranges! He is citing a wrong interpretation on the matter!

That is your ranking Mr Asare however the fairman's ranking is as follows: yes l agree that Prof Mills tops with 95%. and could have scored 99% if he had prosecuted some officials under Kuffuor Administration. Rawlings comes second with 85% as the the wife's deals whittled away what could have been a score higher than even Prof Mills. John Mahama comes third with 70% and could have done better if his appointees hadn't indulge in some corrupt acts and at least can be credited for the prosecution of some of his appointees. Mr. Kuffuor scores 45% because despite the numerous reported corruption stories, no one can recall even one attempt to investigate and therefore taking the fourth position. As for Mr Akufo Addo, we are all witnesses to the daily cases of corruption which have either been parried off or feigned their existence. One will be generous enough to award him 10% for him to take the fifth and very very last position.

I don't recall any proven corrupt deal of the Kufuor government though the opposition always came out with corruption allegations but none proven. I know that under President Mills, Woyome was paid money some dubious money and the circumstances leading to that were really murky. There were also some shady judgement debts under Mills.
