This clueless Akufo-Addo-Bawuliar NPP government has totally lost it. Speculation is part of the variables in the money demand value chain, especially in the liberal forex regime we have adopted. The fundamental question is that, what are the managers of the economy doing to engender CONFIDENCE in the economy so as to curb the negative impact of speculators on the depreciation of the Cedi? We are talking about businesses taking pragmatic steps to forestall loss in value of their capital emanating from unpredictability of the legal tender. Clamping down on advertisement of forex bureaus in a free market environment is the most ludicrous and a lazy man's approach I have heard. Fix the damn structural problems of local production and excessive reckless borrowings for citizens to have respite. What have you been doing all this while?
