Npp, dey will shamelessly come and tell their stupid followers that this is lesser than Mills and Mahama's 120 billion, and unsurprisingly they will also believe and even defend it, gyimie pas mu chenepcn, this debt has bankrupted the nation, and it is the cause of all the bad economic indicators which has led to the suffering of the masses.

From ¢120b in 2016 to ¢658b in 7 years! The worst part is that there is nothing significant to show for it. These Sakawa creatures have destroyed the entire country beyond redemption.

$53 billion of which mills/jack Daniels owe approx. $23 billion out of.....don't be tricked by the illusion of the cedis....bills are paid in dollars. What's the difference between a PANDEMIC and EPIDEMIC? dumb NDC.

From 122billion cedis as at the end of 2016 to 658billion cedis. Wow and thats the more reason why the current govt doesnt want to quote our total debt figures in cedi because it look scary. Rather they prefer to quote it in dollars to make it looks a bit ok forgetting that its because of the poor management of our exchange rate that make the dollar equivalent ok. 658billion cedis -122 billion cedis= 536 billion cedis in a little over 7 years. On the average NDC borrowed about 14.2 billion cedis annually for 8 years. Thats from 9.5 billion cedis as at the end of 2008. But Addo govt borrows about 75 billion on the average annually. I do admit that, because of certain factors like increment in workers on govt payroll, increases in contract sum and others, this govt has borrowed excessively and is that commensurate to projects executed so far? Time will tell. Hmmmmmmm borrow borrow nkoaaaaaaaaaa.

Sweden, an European developed country had a public debt of 169 billion dollars in 2019. Ghana has about a third of what Sweden has but our development is even about 50 less. Now to those who support politicians and parties in Ghana, educate yourself about what is going on outside Ghana and compare yourselves to more successful nations, and stop the nonsense of ‘oh we are the best in Africa’. Bad people have entered politics and businesses and have actually abused our country to the extent that recovery will take decades as people suffer. If you are not upset, then you don’t have a heart.

Ghana borrow in dollars not in cedis so if not mischief why are quoting in Cedis when you are doing comparison? NDC people are taking advantage of the exchange rate to say that government has borrowed much but it is not true.
From 2009 to 2012, NDC government added $25 billion to our debt (from $10 billion to $35 billion). No government has borrowed that much in 4 years. As a result, it was becoming increasingly difficult for government to get new loans in their second term because they had borrowed so much they had no where to turn again. That was when Mr Mahama came to tell us we have eaten all the meat, it is left with bones.
I am surprised how NPP has allowed NDC to get away with this lie and propaganda that this government has borrowed than any government in the 4th Republic. They quoted the debt in Cedis (because the Cedis has fallen) and they do not take out the 25 billion dollars that they added in 4 years. 25 billion dollars at the current rate is 400 billion Ghana Cedis. So the 700 they are quoting, NDC’s 4 years alone added 400 billion Ghana Cedis
