Prof., The rock Hotel is a different being from Bryan Acheampong. Bryan Acheampong is a non-executive director of Rock City hotel. These SSNIT hotels have been non-profitable for several years without giving any dividends for the SSNIT all along. They are being run by others and they decide on the quantum of admin and operational costs resulting in non-declaration of dividends every year. SSNIT has thought over this state of affairs and decided to do away with these hotels. The fact that he is a dormant director of Rock City doesn't mean Roc City cannot bid for the acquisition of the hotels. Where is the immorality in this transaction? You would rather that a foreign company would come and buy the hotels, charge fake management fees every year, do inflated procurements, and repatriate all their profits to their home countries at the end of every year, right? Instead of encouraging local content of our industries, you are rather happy to welcome foreigners to take over our economy, regardless of their intensions. Shame on you Prof.

If as a country we do not want government officials to partake in buying government properties following due process then we should put that into law…don’t see why government officials can partake in auction of government properties including cars, bungalows, rest houses etc and not hotels!! Hypocrisy!!
