As Ghanaians we shall not stop with our insults until our leaders do the right thing . Why should Ghanaians who import cars pay duty in dollars . We are fools . Is the dollar our unit of currency? These are businessmen helping the country to solve the transportation problems we are faced with and instead of giving them some incentives, the government is rather making things difficult for them .
In other sectors , Ghanaians are asked to pay in dollars . Why ? Ghana has copied everything American that people are quoting prices in dollars . Can’t we think . If Ghana despises its own currency, She should ask America permission to use the dollar as our currency so that Ghanaians will have access to the dollar without any difficulty. Why don’t we sell the country to America. Stupid fools

The automobile dealers union must go on demonstrations against this policy and they should not pay the duties in dollars. If they authorities will not change that policy, they should take matters into their own hands . At times we have to go contrary to established principles to get government attention. Be brave enough . This government has no heart and soul .

That's a sign that this incompetent and vision-less government has no confidence in the nation's currency, yet it hypocritically asks Ghanaians to wear local attire. A prudent government doesn't do things that put road blocks in the path of local businesses. This practice is counter-productive, and it needs to change. Similarly, it's wrong for government to pay high level government advisors in dollars while the rest of Ghanaians are paid in cedis. It's time for government to start acting in the interest of Ghanaians by implementing policies that benefit the nation. And government can do so by listening to the cries of the citizens and businesses.
And this is just the beginning.
