While you might be aware that the BoG is running low on reserves, and could not balance the dollar demand to the local currency, and you are suggestion they should abandon cedis for dollar??? Does that sound economic right? I think it's about time they try to seek the specialization of anybody who claims to be an economist before allowing them to pass technical suggestions on the economy. I mean how do you pair the monetary supply of both domestic and foreign currency to achieve equilibrium for financial stabilization if you are abandoning the domestic currency??? The dollar is already our currency, the cedi is just our exchange unit. The price of everything in this country changes with changes in the dollar rate. Even price of construction sand which is just earth product has quadrupled in the past 4 years due to exchange rate affecting fuel prices.it is only workers who are paid in the cedi who suffer.
