But I agree with Bright that the appointment of this PC a few months to what is going to be a hotly contested elections is totally misguided. For one, he's going to have a divided attention when utmost dedication is required to turn things around. For another, the appointment incites all the negative suspicions. Is he there to amass wealth for political campaign or what? Why does Akufo-Addo like to stir unnecessary controversy? Does he really want to hand over to Bawumia as he claims?

Mr. Anane, apart from your first two sentences I agree with everything else you've said. You see, under the cloak of 'qualified and intellectualism', nepotism, tribalism, ethnocentricism and unbridled partisanship is made to thrive in the governance structure of particularly this government. NIB is a state institution and in its present state partisanship MUST not be the consideration in appointing its head/a. By supporting these acts, we're gradually sacrificing expertise, efficiency and capability for inept and clueless misleaders masquerading as politicians.
