What do all these churches do for the country to deserve those incentives? Market women and men across the country labour hard daily to provide goods and food for the public, yet the government doesn't care to grant them incentives. If any group needs incentives, it has to be those businesses struggling to keep their businesses afloat. Churches and religious groups should only enjoy tax exemption where they provide education, feeding and community services. Giving churches a blanket tax exemption status is counter-productive. Most of these churches are crooked, for the government has no way of knowing how much money they collect each day, week or year. And this is also one of the reasons why there's so much corruption within these churches. Give incentives to traders and small businesses, and limited incentives to churches where they meet certain criteria for providing public service.
