Over the years he made no attempt to build a following all because he thought the leadership of the party was his right and there would be no competition for it. Well, he was guessed wrong and all of a sudden he found himself like ‘fish out of water’; no base, no constituency, no committed following, only frantically and desperately seeking relevance.
