It should not take a rocket scientist to realize that because the current constitution does not allow private citizens to introduce bills that would eventually lead to a charge on the Consolidated Funds, the court will have no option, but to declare what the current speaker and the parliament passed “null and void”.
Maybe, the next government would direct its Attorney General to submit another properly thought out bill for consideration .

The AG Godfred Odame is not the spokesperson of the Supreme Court. The SC gave a reason for the adjournment for the plaintiff to supply further briefs. Sky only referred to articles of the constitution but did not refer to any stare decisis to support his reliefs. It is not the place of the judiciary to interfere with the work of the legislature. The SC cannot tell Parliament what laws to enact. Richard Sky is wasting the court’s time.
