If basic amenity like toilets had to be built for the communities by govt (Bawumia is touting it as govt achievement) do you think such communities in any numbers can afford new cars at your prices? Only a very small percentage of the population can afford a new car and majority of them are politicians receiving car subsidies from the state and they prefer V8s. So pack your bags and go!

Locally assembled cars are very expensive and most Ghanaians don't like VW cars. Salaries are very low in Ghana and because of that most workers can't afford locally assembled cars in Ghana

Secondly, Bawumia is trying to import electric cars into a country that easily faces power problems. So if VW is producing half of its expectations then soon it fold up just like Glovo and SG bank. God save Ghana. I earn 7000 cedis I can't fuel my 1.6 petrol car continuously for two weeks . I have to ration trips till the month ends.

Entice the importers of used vehicles into your distribution network. They are your competitors and know the market better. A collaboration with them will be better than knocking them off their livelihood business. They can offer the two products to their clients to make informed choices. Hire purchase system with insurance guarantee should be the backbone of your sales strategies not outright ban of used cars. New cars have superior advantage over used ones and many will come to appreciate it with time and effort. You are also not using the power of adverts
