O perhaps the current airforce commander who used to be the main man is gradually ceding his captainship role to his copilots because he is now busier with command duties. But then, I'm curious about the silver and gold rings. SINCE When? Didn't even the pioneer pilots of the Ghana airforce retire with the traditional cotton black and white wings? Even the deceased airforce generals who saw action in the Congo, Liberia ECOMOG, Burkina Faso/Mali war were buried with only one wing ie. the cotton black and white one, pinned to their left chest. Now, Ghana airforce pilots pin two wings on their chest, left and right. FOR WHATTTT? Hahahaha. Tweeeeakai. Captain is the "Pilot-in-Command. That is, the senior of the pilots flying a plane at any given time. They're now in charge of every flight they embark on and will sit on the left hand side in the cockpit. They're no longer co-pilots who sit on the right hand side of the cockpit of a plane. That's what makes them Captains, meaning in charge of their flights.

The problem arises when such people exhibit questionable loyalty. Air Marshall Sampson - Oje, by his name, is most probably of nigerian extraction with mother probably being Ghanaian, but, he gave off his 100%. The only problem I still have with him is how, during his reign, the epaulets (ranks) on the shoulders of officers were changed into something tooooo busy for the eye. Now you see the traditional stripes, which have become unnecessarily golden, with a wing, crown, stars, or sword attached, aaaalll on the same epaulets on the shoulder. FOR WHAT HAAA? Ooh no. Even the British whom we inherited ranks from, haven't done this mess. After a careful study, it appears this mess was copied from the Nigerian airforce. And this is where your issue about foreigners becomes relevant. I'm not saying Sampson Oje did it, because it could have come from his CDS. You and I were not there. Let's hope Bailey will not bring cattle to graze on the grass between the Airforce station and Kotoka. Akuffo Addo has reduced the armed forces into an efuom ekurase korpheme institution. WHY?
