  The point Otumfuo is making is that Govt after Govt have failed to put in those checks and balances you suggeted. We cant be stubbornly doing the same ineffective things and expect different result.

Now, the strongest economies on earth have private entities or public private partnerships with sole aim of running public institutions for profit and they even list these industries on global stock exchanges.. why haven't you done the same? Tema oil refinery for example shoukd have been listed on global exchanges to solicit revenue for investments..instead, these greedy monkeys just go on and steal blacks smh.   I agree. I still dont understand why we cant give Accra-Kumasi road to private company to build operate and transfer without the Government paying a pesewa. This is what was done with AMERI plant and now it is for Ghana!

  Expansive government control, subsidies, monopolies, limitation of foreign investment, limitation of free market and free trade etc. These were the never-fail elements used by all rich countries to get rich. Only Singapore and and Hong Kong deviated slightly from these.
  Wake up Africa and get educated.
