Let this sink into the ears and heads of the politicians very well. Majority of Ghanaians don't care what religion their leader professes. All we need is a competent person who can lift this country from the doldrums we are in. I am a practicing moslem but I careless who leads the country provided the person is able to improve my living conditions and I'm able to put food (balance diet) on the table for my family 3x daily. The president under whom Moslems enjoyed the greatest and had greater recognition in the country is JJ Rawlings who was not himself a Moslem. So how can we turn round to think that it is only when a Moslems becomes a president that we will be recognized. Compare the cost of performing Hajj under JJ and Ackarh/Mills, Mills and JDM, and JDM and Amisah Arthur who are all Christians to Kufour and Nana who have Moslem Vice Presidents in the persons of Aliu Mahama and Bawumia. This analysis will tell you that even if a Moslem becomes a president there is no guarantee that conditions will be better for Moslems.
