Very unfortunate how some of the readers are commenting without any facts. I am from Winneba and so what goes on at the university is of concern to me.
My checks reveal that
1. Not all students were asked to produce receipts
2. A list of students who have not paid fees according to their records were sent to the various study centres
3. Students whose names were on the list were asked to produce their receipts to their coordinators for checks and corrections

I was informed that some students have genuine issues, others paid fees to the campus in Kumasi or used accounts that was not for the college to pay their fees and others also brought scholarship cheques that did not clear at their bank.

I think it's only fair that the authorities at the university communicate well with the student leaders to stop all these issues we see about the university in the media space.

It's very worrying and sad to see UEW Distance students going through all these problems created a whole public university. The university create problems and they give no mechanism to students to navigate through.

How can you produce three different results for one particular semester to students. We complain and nothing is done about it.

You would he surprise that results sent to various study centers are different from what has been uploaded on the students portal?

You would logged a complain and the feedback you would get is " the registrar is working on it" but actually nothing is being done.

My younger brother completed UEW in 2021. He did not see more than half of his exam results from level 100 to level 400.

My younger brother completed UEW in 2021. He did not see more than half of his exam results from level 100 to level 400.
He was not alone; the majority of the students had same problems. When they were about to finish, they attempted a demonstration, but the university used the police to silence them. The university promised to resolve their problems. However, after they completed, a good number of them , including my younger brother, were given very terrible grades from L100 through to L400. Even a few of the results that had been released during their time at the University were changed. Some courses that were 3 credits were changed to 6 credits, and very terrible grades assigned to the supposed 6 credit courses. My brother ended up getting a 3rd class, something he never dreamt about. He is now emotionally pierced to the extent that he doesn't want to think about school again.
