Ghanaian businesses have an outlook and efficiency problem, unfortunately our business schools are stuck with classroom based education which themselves are rooted in a european environment which is becoming difficult to implement in the Ghanaian environment
The history of our businessmen and women of a bygone era has not been documented so is hardly studied but scant information can be scraped from Arrow of God a book by Chinua where an igbo kinsman was accusing a fellow tribes man of becoming a houseboy to a colonial englishman and in defence the kinsman replied that he was doing the houseboy job to raise enough capital to state a tobacco and textile trade
The now defunct RLG CEO or so once advised his fellow business men to adopt international standards in conducting their operations and learn from the success stories of the likes of Dag Hewald-Mills
So this attempt to blame the failure on employee theft doesn't do justice to the overarching issue of the the Ghanaian business person
