You need to clear your head well. Is it written in the 1992 Constitution that the government must willy nilly employ all nurses that graduate from the nursing schools? All over the world, most governments in the free market economy do the nonsense of posting nurses. Nurses go out to the market place to look for jobs like any other trained professional. And look at some of their complaints: that the private healthcare units don't pay as well as the government. Ghana government is financially stressed and can't employ all of them. They need to think twice from now onwards before deciding to enter the nursing schools.

At which point of time did the government promise these nurses that all of them would be employed by the government when they complete their courses? Did they sign any such bond with the government? What they must be told is that Ghana Government can't employ all nurses that graduates from the nursing schools. Government can only employ as many as its finances can allow. The availability of money permits the issuance of financial clearance to employ them. They need to be educated on this. All other trained professions like engineers, accountants, lawyers, dieticians don't wait on Ghana Government to employ them.

Government can only employ them if it has the money to pay them. They need to find something else to do that demonstrating to be employed. No government all over the world can guarantee 100% employment to the nurses. In many other jurisdictions, the hospitals employ directly due to their needs using rigorous mechanism to select only the best & not a wholesale posting.
