This is a joke! The vehicle is registered, for God's sake! Tow it to the station and wait!!!
One or two possible scenarios, it's a borrowed car or a stolen one. Either way, the driver will be apprehended, he can run but not hide.
So, nobody was at the accident scene and he just ran away? Unheard of and unbelievable story. A stolen car since he would have been around or reported to the police if the car belongs to him.
