Akufo Addo's government is the worst in the country's history and he has the chance to do one decent thing before he leaves office by signing the bill which he knows the majority of Ghanaians are in support of and he can't even do that? Him and his Akyem mafia brigade are using economic reasons as an excuse, but Ugandans have passed the anti LGBT laws and they are working right now but we are not seeing them dying of hunger - as a matter of fact their economy and their currency are doing much better than ours. IMF, European Union and other financial institutions to whom we are beholden have leaned heavily on the President about not passing this bill into law or else vital financial support could be withheld which will impact everyone in Ghana negatively. For example all those uncompleted and expensive road and flyover projects could stall indefinitely which will cause untold inconvenience on Ghanaians, businesses investing and setting up bases in Ghana and creating needed jobs for the youth could be discourage from choosing Ghana. This will means more people remaining in abject poverty.

These are the issues which the President has to balance against passing this into Law. Passing this bill will Perhaps affect a few hundreds of people, however, not passing it could save thousands of jobs and safeguard our economic prosperity which will benefit everyone in Ghana.

Ghana as a society does not approve of homosexuality and positively rails against it and this should always be the case. Parents have to educate their children against it and schools should make sure it is not mentioned in their institutions. These practices will kept it in check as it has always been the case.
