The people of the OT era believed in the coming Messiah who from the scriptures is prophesied in many places,that this was Yahweh himself. So yes the people in the OT believed in the Messiah, who is Jesus. Christianity was in Africa before the coming of the Europeans for example read about the Ethiopian Eunuch in the book of Acts. Where in the Bible does it even suggest that the atonement was because Adam & Eve had sex? Can you provide a verse in Bible that says this. Christianism is a relationship and not a religion that is for the record. They can’t stand the manifestation of the Holy Spirit and the fire of Tongues. They will manifest and get exposed.
