We prefer the reasoning of a rare breed of cyber election guru who confidently says (in his capacity as what?) "he will not rule out a cyber attack until proven otherwise". Even if the whole world does not think or say so. I am shocked, only because this is the first time I have heard a scientist promote superstition as more credible than available facts, and is indefinitely hanging on to his personal suspicions until he sees the affected underground cable himself.

The other interesting twist is that he wholeheartedly accepts as "genuine" a baseless suspicion that the shut down of the Internet across much of West Africa explained as a caused by disruption in marine cables in Senegal is a full dress rehearsal by NPP for rigging the 2024 election in Ghana in December, as put out categorically by one his learned colleagues. Then the killer punch is when he concludes by assuring that there is no cause for alarm because he says so, not because it was all a lie in the first place.

Then illogical adds that "this underscores the need to recruit qualified people" to man the EC. Scuba divers to fix undersea cables? Not even Bukom Banku will think like this.

Are these guess breathing oxygen or inhaling laughing gas. Did they fall asleep since 1992, and just wake up in 2016 to discover that the entire EC staff had been fired and replaced with stark illiterates? Is this the face of the future.
