Western sanctions against countries like Zimbabwe lost their bite a long time ago.With the massive economic rise of China,Russia,India,Brazil etc etc. As a result of the ongoing rapid transfer of wealth from Western countries to the East and others countries (the so-called GLOBAL SOUTH) over the last decade or more many countries have little difficulty circumventing crippling Western sanctions. The loss of influence by the Global North led by the Western countries started many years ago but has accelerated dramatically in the last few years.This is clearly manifest in the Arab Middle East, Latin America,Large parts of Asia .In Africa former colonizers like France have suddenly found themselves very unwelcome guests resulting in their almost simultaneous large scale expulsions from some African countries. We could be seing the end of a 400 to 500 year global dominance by Western civilizations.Whether this transitional period (likely to last for several years) ends peacefully or ends in a very violent spasm that threatens human civilization remains to be seen.
