Even the UK had to take drastic measures by implementing a 4 day working week, to conserve energy and fuel. I don't think you have enough brain cells to comment intelligently. It was the OPEC Oil crisis which derailed what would have been a very successful programme of Operation Feed Your Self. We had not discovered oil then. Still a very good initiative.
