  NB. Dormaa was only part of Asante confederacy for 3 months. Dormaa has never served Asante. Your Asante collapsed in 1896 when the Sakawa boy Prempeh I , was kidnapped and sent to Lunsar, Sierra Loeone and later to Seychelles to pick cotton for the British Empire.
  
  Your Asante became a British colony in 1901. There was no Asantehene. In 1935 the British established the “indirect rule “ , a policy championed by Lord Luggard in Northern Zoogeria.
  
  There’s no Asante kingdom anymore in any statue books of Ghana. There was Asante confederacy which you later changed to Asanteman council. You cannot go to the coirt with any letterhead that says Asante Kingdom.

He conned Paa GRANT into financing the UGCC with the promise of handing over all the Businesses of The UAC,UTC, GB OLLIVANT, PATTERSON ZOCHONIS (PZ) etc to PAA GRANT after independence. Knowing that all these promises and a few other promises will Not be fulfilled. It was impossible to keep these promises. The wages of sin.   If you are talking about JB Dankwa then you should be ashamed of yourself for making such unguarded comments. So now between JB Dankwa and Kwame Nkrumah whose legacy is now thriving? The Nkrumah party is dead and will never rise up again because Nkrumah was practicing idolatry, and I believe you’ve heard about that demon called kan -kan nyame, right? But God Almighty who created heaven and earth detest idolatry. Which is why the first law in the 10 commandments speaks about loving God and worshipping him only. And that’s Nkrumah’s bane. I don’t think having the courage and skills to build coalitions is deceptive. And that’s the coalitions that brought Kwame Nkrumah from his obscurity as hustler in the United States to the limelight. Even Nkrumah’s kids have embraced Jesus Christ. His son Sekou is a Christian as far as I know, likewise Nathan whose mother is from Egypt. I believe I’m giving the right pronunciation. On the other way JB Dankwa’s legacy will continue to thrive through his descendants and nephews and by the coalitions of politicians he coerced to form the UGCC, UP, Northern’s People Party and many others!   This writer is purely an uneducated Asante. First, Ashanti territory did not include Bono and Ahafo regions. Secondly, Ashanti territory was officially declared by British as protectorate, which is the same as colony in 1783 after the Sagranti War. In fact, in 1784 the Asante chiefs wrote a letter to the British Queen that they themselves want to be part of the British colony (I have the book about it in my shelve). So before even the fight for independence, the Ashantes were also British's colony. Later, all the northern parts of Ghana willingly committed themselves to the British as their colony for over 100 years (1783 - 1957). Secondly, UGCC never invited Prempeh 1 to join the fights for independence, neither did they promise any Asantehene monarch leadership because Asantes were not willing to be part of the Coastal people because of their hate for them, for allowing the whites to defeat them. So it is a big lie that the independence fighters promised Prempeh 1 to join the fight for independence to become monarch of Ghana. Rather, it was the deceitful nature of the Akyems and selfish interest of Danquah family who fooled Prempeh 1 as usual. That is why I always say, Asantes should go to school to be wise and civilised like the fantes, Nzemas and coastal people. LET US GIVE OUR LIFES TO JESUS CHRIST AND HE WILL GIVE US KNOWLEDGE OF LIFE, PROSPERITY AND ETERNITY.

Karkari begged for a Peace Treaty and the Treaty of Fomena stripped the Asante of all their territories, fined them 50,000 ounces of gold, never paid, and Kumasi became part of the Gold Coast colony. After 1874 there was no Asante kingdom, there was just Kumasi.

Your view is what’s called or termed as hackneyed phrase or stereotyping. Go and do some advanced research about the current on education or the literacy data in Ghana, I’m talking about the current data, and see if the data supports your infantile layman’s views! Ashantis are uneducated? Do you know how many Asante youth going to school in the Western Countries? Almost every extended family in the Ashanti region have kids getting Western education, some families have more than 50% of their kids and young adults going to school in the US, UK, Canada, France and many others. Though it’s my own opinion but it’s based on the data from the US education departments. Especially the data from the New York, New Jersey the Maryland and Washington DC data! So just keep wallowing in stupid colonial propaganda!

  This is the beginning of tribal politics in Ghana.

Please in the first general election held on 8 February 1951, in the Gold Coast, Ashanti voted en masse for the CPP to win the election to crown Dr Nkrumah as the leader of Government of Business .Please the CPP won 34 out of the 38 contested seats to win the election. The UGCC did not win a single seat in Ashanti. The UGCC won only 3 seats out of the 38 seats and only in the Eastern Province.

The independence struggle started with expensive foreign goods boycott initiated by KING BONNEY of Osu who encouraged all the coastal chiefs from Volta/central/western regions to join the boycott. This resistance coincided with WW2 soldiers' march on the Castle. And, all hell broke loose when Atipoe, Odartey Lamptey, and Sargent Adjetey were killed. Nkrumah and members of the BIG SIX were thrown in jail for supporting the boycott. The British eventually realized they could not hold on to the country so negotiated a timeline and a peaceful exit to pave the way for Ghana's independence. All the nonsense you wrote has nothing to do with independence struggle.

Nkrumah played smart and changed the initial plans of Prime ministerialship to Presidential and that is why we ended up corruption and where we are now.
  It's never too late for us change history because we make history all the time.
  Ghana is home to all of us now, but Asanteman is the gateway, No politician or some land guard can dispute that.

  Asante succumbed to British rule from 1920.Though we were not part of the independence struggle initially, we were still under British rule. Being that we were rebellious and had the tendency to strike at any given time, there was a massive British presence in Kumasi and its surroundings, in order to crush any uprisings and hostilities. Until in the 1940's that JB tried to talk the Asantihene into joining the struggle, hence those concessions which never materialized.
