  I went in to acquire meter on my own, it took me forever, but immediately I used a connection-man recommended by a ECG staff, I had it within a month. I paid almost the same amount (i.e. additional money) of official charge to the connection man.

  They already don't trust their own staff with the payment for the old meters where online payments are impossibile. So our only choice for payments are private agents. However, these old meters are the property of ECG, so why don't they come and replace them new ones so online payment becomes available?

  Two months ago, I applied for ECG meters. All I got was a text that I have been assigned for installation after paying all the charges. The ECG staff told me that, they have shortage of meters. Money paid is non refundable. Middle men have meters to sell . Oh Ghana. Corruption everywhere.

  That’s the difference between Mahama with foresight and NPP leaders lacking foresight but steep in deception and lies. If you want equity for all of Ghana’s school going students you build school structures at the district level. If you want access to healthcare you provide district and regional hospitals. If you want equity in employment you provide roads for transportation, excess capacity for electricity production and incentives to businesses for the 24-hour economic potential. If you want digital interoperability you provide fiber optic infrastructure. If you want increases in trade you improve ports and harbours. Those are the very infrastructures Mahama gave Ghana. NPP want to talk about sports stadiums; people have to drive on good roads to get to the stadium, must have jobs to afford going to the stadium, must have lights for industry and schools. Free SHS students do not go to school at stadiums neither is there NPP wireless electricity; clowns indeed.
