This useless parliament can legislate about corruption that has bedeviled the Ghanaian society but they chose to concentrate on a trivial matter such as someone's sexual orientation.

Akuffo Addo assenting to this bill will surely incur the wrath of our donors and creditors. I believe the threat from the Western countries have started coming to the president already.
This bill is self inflicting. We could have left the matter untouched for sometime until we are done dealing with our financial crisis. After, LGBTQ was not pervasive and problematic since many Ghanaians frown upon it.
Those involved in it are going to continue to do it anyways, may be not openly. On what basis does the cop arrest someone for being LGBT?
Has Parliament already clearly what actions will qualify or make someone or couple a way.
What will be the evidence?
A video of sex act between same sex? A video of French kiss between same sex in public?

The I believe the president will seek more clarification before he will assent. I also see a drag or delay or amendments to this bill. This is not a done deal.
I even see a secret vote in the end, which might jettison the bill as I believe many MPs are afraid to lose their seat if they openly vote against the bill.
Don't tell me not a single MP supports LGBT or is a gay or lesbian themselves.

Many people never cared about LGBTQI+ Nonsense until they started demanding certain rights that are unacceptable to Ghanaians and their culture.
We knew that Gays and Lesbians lived with us since time immemorial. We never bothered them but only made fun of them. Things came to this level because they demanded rights and recognition as that of traditionally married couples where marriage has to be between a man and woman. So, if Ghanaians become angered because their cultural values are being violated and disrespected, then the LGBTQI+ people caused it. They have called for the Piper and have to pay for the tune.
Akuffo Addo has no alternative but to sign for the Bill to become law unless he wants to send the NPP to opposition. He cannot afford to that. The Council of Elders of the NPP many of who are Anti Gay will not yield to Akuffo Addo if plans not to sign the Bill for it to become law.

Article XXI of the 1992 Constitution guarantees the general fundamental freedoms of all persons living in Ghana.

Which this bill is attempting to illegalize the very existence of the LGBTQIA+.

So, it is very likely he will veto the bill. Even then, it can be subjected to judicial review in the highest court of the land.
