And Ghana doesn't stand to benefit because those at the helm of affairs of cocobod are stealing from it.. dubious contract deals connected with CMS, fuel, chemicals,roads etc...

The Cocoa farmer in the western north region, part of Ghana to be precise with an eye withness Essam and Adabokrom Cocoa Districts which produces the largest portion of Ghana's cocoa has been declared that all the Cocoa trees are dieing due to old age and the infection of the CSSVD Cocoa swollen shoot virus disease which turns to be a threat to the farmers. The farmers around these area with the support from the government are trying their possible best to treat and replant their diseased and over grown cocoa trees but it turns not to hold due to the excessive and prolong drought they experience during harmattan most of the rehabilitated farms die off. Therefore, there is the need for help from the chocolate industries to come down and support farmers with irrigation for the production of the Cocoa. The ordinary farmers can't afford to set up an irrigation due to the high cost involved so any company or foreign companies and donners can come and support the farmers. For the past five years we have been trying our best and I realise that without irrigation it will take a long time for cocoa to be revamped
