The Rev Dr Ntumy was subjected to those indignities and attacks because of what some members of his church thought to be he been "undeserving" of his rise to the pinnacle of the pentecost church because he was a "voltarian" now the Oti Region of Ghana..
Those attacks against his life were purely tribally motivated illtreatments, stereotyping. But thank God he took all those ill-treatments on their stride and never complained about them as a consumate and honest believer of Jesus.

Stop your nonsense, okay? How did Dr. Ntumy rise to the level of prominence, in the first place? You know there were not many Voltarians in the Church of Pentecost until quite recently, right? He is not even an Ewe or typical Voltarian. Even if he is Ewe, I want you get it from me today that it was through other ethnic groups who were dominantly non Voltarian that endorsed his rise to the Chairmanship of the Church. And do you know that he wasn’t even one of the Seven Executive Members of the Church at the time of his appointment? But the constitution of the Church of Pentecost put these executive members of the clergy as most likely considered to be in the line of succession, especially after Apostle Yeboah of his blessed memory passed.

Actually Apostle Ntumy is a man of my heart that I always remembered in prayers ever since his attack by some unknown assailants in the early 1990’s. However having said that he was not one of the likely candidates for that position at the time he was appointed. That’s the fact! You may believe me or not. The problem is that some of your pedigree are too ethnocentric and divisive! In Christianity or in Jesus Christ, there is no Jew or Gentle according to the basis of the teachings of Apostle Paul.

So this issue of him being subjected to attacks are totally baseless, and smack of some of the reason your kind always face stereotyping in work places or on other fields of co-habitations! Listen to me, could you believe that some of my trusted confidants in my church are from the Volta Region? And it beats my imagination when some of you with that evil divisive thought come up such unsubstantiated allegations of discrimination! If you know his family as much as I do, kindly go and ask his wife and kids about his relationship with the woman whose name was mentioned in the article( Mrs. Appiah Agyekum) then you will realize that in good Christian relations there is no or shouldn’t be any discrimination! Come again!
