  It's also likely the resignation is strategic: to prepare a new generation of leaders for parliamentary leadership in the next Parliament. Kyei Mensa Bonsu is not coming back, so he steps aside to allow the new leadership to be groomed under his feet while still in parliamentary. Why keep him when he's going to be of no use in the next parliament? The presidents reshuffle seems to follow a similar pattern: let those who lost in primaries step aside for potential parliamentarians to take come in to learn. We shouldn't underestimate the NPP.
