The Western colonisers knew exactly what they were doing in creating the borders of African countries. They created borders to create disunity in each country with different ethnic groups. If national borders were determined by the borders of major ethnic groups, Africa would have been much stronger, like the way Europe is. They kept Africa weak and thus poor, so they can remain wealthy by buying our raw materials cheaply.

Exactly what Kwame Nkrumah was fighting for and some SATANS in Ghana then teamed up with our colonial masters and eventually over-thrown Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah. Nkrumah was fighting for artificial barriers or borders created by our colonial masters to be removed and the whites were against it. If Nkrumah succeeded in breaking those barriers created by the colonial masters, Ghana or West Africa, or Africa in general would have been a United States of West Africa or Africa. Kwame Nkrumah's ideas would have made Africa strong, and rich, and banned the Europeans from looting our resources.

Idiot. God doesn't engage in coups. Is it Allah that has Boko Haram carrying out its destructive escapade in parts of Nigeria? Nkrumah and Olympio may each have had their reasons for taking the positions that they took, but you can't prove that Nkrumah was wrong in working to have Trans-Volta Togoland become a part of Ghana. Strange as it sounds, some of Olympio's children eventually ended up as students in some of Ghana's finest high schools, and they were accepted with warm open arms by all Ghanaians. The same colonial powers who carved out Africa among themselves also did the same to their own European continent at end of each war, partitioning the losing nations among the victors. But these European countries have learned to live among each other as neighbours, and work towards common goals. We in Africa should also be striving towards similar goals.

EWES HATED NKRUMAH FOR THAT: THE CAUSE OF KOTOKA’S REMOVAL OF NKRUMAH. EXPLAINED!
Reading from the article, Kotoka was also doing the bidding of Sylvasno Olympio to remove Nkrumah who forcibly integrated his Ewe tribe into the current Ghana. Most of you are quite oblivious of the fact that Kotoka was also killed by Atta and Yeboah: the two Akan men in the junta who also saw Kotoka’s plans to unite his Ewe folks in Togo with Ghana as a threat to the survival of the Akans who are currently the dominant group in the current Ghana. And that also explains why Rawlings and Boakye Djan also killed General Kwasi Afrifa : who the duo deemed a traitor because according to Boakye Djan who was Atta’s nephew; “Afrifa sent Atta to kill Kotoka but Afrifa later turned around and killed Atta and Yeboah who acted on Afrifa’s orders”!

TRUST NO MAN: HATE NO MAN!
Who is the satan? Nkrumah was also a nemesis or a devil to some Ewe leaders including Kotoka, the mastermind of the 1966 coup, who wanted to pay Nkrumah back for overthrowing the government of Sylvasno Olympio in Togo. Whatever role the opposition must’ve played in Nkrumah’s removal, Kotoka had his own dream of carrying out a vendetta against Nkrumah’s for removing Olympio, a Ewe Togolese leader from power. Boakye Djan also did the same thing by calling for the head Afrifa whom he pointed to as a traitor who killed his uncle Atta, one of the killers of Emmanuel Kwasi Kotoka. But then Boakye Djan was also betrayed by Rawlings and his Dzelokope Mafia when the cartel killed Kyeremeh Djan, the late outspoken nephew of Boakye Djan who let series of student demonstrations against Rawlings’s P/ NDC military junta! What shall I say to these things? You can’t trust any human being because everyone has their agenda in life, that’s the covetous nature of human beings. That explains why you shouldn’t hate your neighbor or someone to the extent of taking their lives through a coup or any unlawful action because of their political beliefs or leaning. Bye!

Stephen Donkor, you're just an ignorant twister of facts, and your gross ignorance is pathetic. Kotoka was not the mastermind of the 1966 coup.; the masterminds of the coup were Busia and Danquah Traitors, and their main conduit in the Armed Forces was Major Afrifa. Kotoka was made the head of the military regime because the NLC needed the support of the officers and enlisted members of the forces, the majority of whom at that time were from the Volta Region. I doubt if Kotoka had any knowledge of the devious ambitions of the Busia/Danquah Terrorists. After the demise of Kotoka, General Amkrah assumed leadership of the NLC, but Busia and his crooks could not control decision-making while Ankrah was head of the regime. The answer then was to set up general Ankrah by using a Nigerian con man called Nzeribe to to cause Ankrah to be in the media and also to make frequent trips out of the country. This cause Ankrah to be seen as wanting to become an eventual civilian head of state, and the trick worked well. For Ankrah was soon booted out out of the regime and replaced Afrifa who conveniently progressed to General and began calling the shots. The regime then passed edicts forbidding all former members of the CPP from holding political office, while the regime under Afrifa's leadership made Busia the head of the Center for Civic Education, giving Busia the chance to crisscross Ghana and making himself known to the masses. Once the ban on politicking was lifted, Busia formed his party, and immediately became the front-runner for President since members of Nkrumah's party were banned from contesting the elections. Ans d just as Busia and Afrifa had planned, Busia emerged the winner in the elections and became Prime Minister, though his stay in power was very short. The architects of the 1966 coup were the Busia/Danquah group, and their man within the Ghana Armed Forces was Major Afrifa, and they clandestinely worked with America and its CIA in that effort. Once Nkrumah got wind of the CIA's activities at the USA Embassy in Accra (through intelleigence he had from the Soviet government), the USA quickly moved that operation to the Congo where the USA had an ally in the corrupt ignorant thieving buffoon Mobutu. The plan for the coup carried on in the Congo till it was eventually put into action in February, 1966, culminating in the overthrow of Nkrumah's government. Stephen Donkor, you're just a pathetic liar with hardly any knowledge regarding the issues that you try twist.

SOME FACTS IN THE STORY CAN’T BE IGNORED.
In fact the story has some substance that can’t be ignored, considering the events that transcended Nkrumah’s removal, and the reason why JJ Rawlings also formed the Dzelokope Mafia: The notorious cartel whose members included Kofi Awoonor, the Tsikata’s , Rawlings and other top echelons of Volta Region’s hardcore members in the Ghana Armed Forces and the Police force. The group futilely pursued Kotoka’s dream of uniting his Togo folks with Ghana. But Gnassimgbe Eyedema, the former Togolese president became an albatross for their aims and objectives. Though Rawlings and his Dzelokope mafia teamed up with Gilchrist Olympio: Sylvasno Olympio’s Achimota trained son, who acted on orders of Rawlings and his group to stage series of coups and civil unrest to forcibly remove Gnassimgbe Eyedama’s government. Nevertheless, the Kabri ethnic group’s descent strongman former Togolese president unrelentingly held on to power with his iron fist till his death, and also made sure his son took over the throne.

The Plebiscite in which the Ewes voted to become part of Ghana was held on 9th May 1956. It was organised by the League of Nations and the United Nations, not Kwame Nkrumah. It is true that Africa would have been better off if the nations were set up along language groupings. The Akan nation could have been from Brong all the way to the Bawules in the Ivory Cost, the Ewe group from Ghana to Benin, etc. But we were bound to have problems. Because there are too many smaller language groups which couldn't possibly survive on their own. It is natural to be fearful or suspicious of what you don't understand. And we don't understand the many other languages around us. But it's time to accept that we are all in this together, and strive to forge a better future for our children. Tribalism will get us nowhere!

After this he funded the Sawaba guerilla movement attack on Niger. This was to topple the Niger government and install a regime that was in favour of his African unification goal. The invasion lasted 2 days and failed miserably.
Nkrumah formed the Union of African States ( Ghana-Guinea-Mali) and it collapsed after 1 year, having achieved absolutely nothing. He dismantled the Unity structures he inherited in 1957 such as the West African Court of Appeal, the West African Pound and so on.
While he spoke about a single African country, he also tried to break up existing African countries. At independence, the Sanwi people of Ivory Coast wanted their own country. They started the Saniquelle movement with its Headquarters in Ghana abd the active encouragement of Nkrumah.
After overthrowing Olympio, trying to overthrow Hamani Diori in Niger, and trying to dismember Ivory Coast he too was toppled on February 24th 1966.
What goes around comes around.

You see, when you are not intelligent enough, you are incapable of providing precursors to events in history. Time may not permit me but I am gonna try and put some sense in my writing. Probably that will help you understand events.
On one hand, you're right, Nkrumah engineered his own overthrow. But what you forget is the genuine intent and the good cause that engendered his "engineered his own overthrow" as against evil hearts, tribal bigots or tribal excellence (which is not excellent at all), self-hate black motive and eventually unintelligence or dumbness on the part of the executioners of the "engineered his own overthrow". Your brain did not immediately cause you to contrast the motives of both sides—the goodwill of Nkrumah against the bad will of tribal fools (who later regretted anyway as they could not proffer any workable alternative except to blame).
Now let get to your substantive issues raised. For time sake, I may skip some and concentrate on the key ones.
Now with your Togo analogy, it clearly shows you are a typical black dummy, ripe for slavery. It is that dumbness that sent our ancestors into slavery without even a fight. Oh dear how dumb... I wouldn't even go in details.
Once again, you dabble into the Niger issue. That was a struggle where people were being attacked, Nkrumah has or had the right to support in anyway, a faction that supports a good course (like that of Nkrumah). After all, those who were formally attacking "Sawabas" (just for connotation) wouldn't want peace. Why wouldn't Nkrumah support a faction that want good course, like he did for the Congos, the South Africans etc...You clearly left out the essence of the purpose (by Nkrumah) to support the Sawaba guerilla war against oppression. You must be a real dummy blackman who thinks he is all of a sudden, westerner (moron you think you're white in your dummy thinking, poor you).
The Ghana-Mali-Guinea alliance was to be the best demo for unity but thanks to dummy fools having demented brains like yours, they never saw the foresight to join and make it big. So eventually with the external powerful forces (the western powers), it fell. That clearly shows that Nkrumah cannot do everything, but knew what works and what will work, and he acted on it. But as the fools among us blacks far outweigh the smart ones, we rallied behind the westerners to collapse Nkrumah's agenda (especially H. Boigny of the Ivoiry Coast). Fools like you never have understanding. When people like you are writing, you have the mind set of a westerner, but when you are in your backyard, you think like a chicken—a typical slave mentality. Now look, we are back again with Nkrumah's concept in Mali-Niger-Burkina (we only pray that it won't expand). See all the resources that could have helped sister nations in Africa develop at a cheaper cost. the bauxite of Guinea, the uranium/plutonium, etc etc of Niger, Mali and other useful minerals... You still don't get it. Have you ever wondered why Nkrumah was sprouting industry upon industry in Ghana? He wanted Ghana to be the beacon, so that when he gets the first fruit of those raw materials, he could set a brilliant example. Hence the reason why he set up Ghana atomic energy so that when all the people he sent abroad finish their studies and return, with cheaper raw materials in Africa (no westerner can stop him from setting the same examples they have in their countries). Now all those raw, juicy materials are in the hands of wicked France and other western countries. No wonder Niger and co got mad and took control of themselves...
Now let's discuss the crown of your stupidity. If there was enough space, I would have given you the history of the asante empire and the apolonia/nzemaa kingdom that existed before the coming of the asante empire so that you would understand things clearly on the matter of the sanwis. That would have clearly shown you the hypocrisy of we, the asantes, in the affairs of Nkrumah's dealing.
Anyways! You used the Sanwi issue without locus. H. Boigny had sold the people out to the French on a silver platter (don't forget that H. Boigny was a french MP before they sent him down...). In the ivoiry coast, only the nzemas/apolos and some of their former subjects like the sanwis, ndenyes, anyis etc who opposed H. Boigny sellout. While the apollos, sanwis and co supported the idea of self-reliance to avoid the French TOTAL policy of assimilation and subjugation, the other FOOLs like the Baules had sold their birthright to be slaves forever. Why won't Nkrumah support the sanwis, knowing that african uniqueness and a better prospect of african unification would eventually liberate all africans and make them rich beyond repair? But thanks to Fools like yours, all was brought to naught, and it appears you are happy with the situation hence you are using it against Nkrumah. Just because he didn't succeed, yea and that makes your dummy head happy (because to win over the plentiful fools was not possible).

I must admit, my brother, that pan-african-ism is dead. Those making the noise are only debris.
We have fine minds like Pro. Lumumba of kenya etc but despite their good hearts and wishes, there are again more fools to handle (much more than Nkrumah even met - but of course Nkrumah was only one man). Our african people by attitude, behavior and desire, are already hoodwinked by the beauty of the western nations (no one is ready to sacrifice anything against their personal gain). So they only listen to strong voices like that of Lumumba just to impress themselves (but within their hearts, they will sell their country cheap just to impress any western country for easy visa hahaha).
The golden period we had was in Nkrumah and JB Danquah era. The other, JB rather sabotaged the process which rippled (even in a tribal-mode) to Cote D'Ivoire. If the then leaders of Africa (equally to JB Danquah) had eschewed envy but to support the good course of Nkrumah, by now we would have had a better deal (even if the way Nkrumah saw it was not achievable). Now the damage is irreversible. A careful reading of Nkrumah's class struggle and neocolonialism will leave no doubt to anyone that Nkrumah was spelling out the doom if we don´t quickly or immediately adopt african unification. Of course Nkrumah expressed hope, but only to an occasion of awakening.
The awakening will not come because the westerners were smart to intercept all the possibilities. America started the "africom" which Nkrumah touted. So therefore africa does not have any central and military intelligence or force. It is supplanted by the American africom. The Westerners used the same Nkrumah's concept to form the european union and deceived africans to proselyte without effect. They finally stumped our uselessness with the EPA (the economic partnership agreement), making it difficult for africans to realise the benefits of any intra-african-nation trade partnership.
Even look at the behaviour of the Ghana president in the affairs of pan africanism. Very bad, and a simp for the western world.
The Mali-Burkina-Niger alliance is not a hope of pan africanism, but a rectification for their self survival. Although a good thing for their triangle, it will amount to no real impact for the rest of africa as the westerners have already gained the upper-hand. No african country is industrialized enough to buy those raw materials in larger quantities for their benefit? non except perhaps south africa but south africa strategically is not run by blacks in terms of the economic power...
Africans can form better partnership with world powers using some of Nkrumah's ideas and other good ideas to make good strides (like the burkina-mali-niger links to Russia albeit not sustainable for the long term).
If we show positive signs and cut off corruption with proper, verifiable checks and balances we will earn the respect of the western world, and they may finally come out clean to engage us meaningfully for a record win win collaboration. That is our only hope now, because the westerners have fully gotten the upperhand, the very thing Nkrumah was trying to bring about a balance...
Pan africanism! forget it, we don´t have the men.

Ghana Guinea Mali Union? Thank God that did not succeed. Ghana would have had to deal with all the jihadists in Mali now. That country is full of jihadists. Sekou Toure of Guinea was so disliked that when his death was announced, people took to the streets of Conakry to rejoice. He killed the first Secretary of OAU, Diallo Telli. And who would have been the President of the Ghana Guinea Mali Union? Obviously, Kwame Nkrumah. Nkrumah advocated the union to satisfy his personal ambitions, using Ghana's scarce foreign money.

Kwame Nkrumah wanted to unite more than 5000 tribes in Africa just like China did. Olympio wanted to unite only Ewes. Nkrumah in Ghana and Togo only. The truth is that, our (Ewe) ancestors are not happy about the horrible state in which the British and French stole Eweland and shared it among themselves. We ( Eweland ) had our systems of governance before the Germans came in to trade with us. Gradually the Germans deceived us into believing that, they were here to protect us. All of a sudden, Eweland was pronounced a German colony. Herein lies the capture of Eweland by the British and French after World War 2. Nkrumah jumped in against our will, and the result is Volta Region of Ghana.
It has never.been the desire of Western Togoland to be part of Ghana. But time and truth, will tell. One day the name Ghana being applied to Western Togoland, SHALL get erased, in the name of our ancestors.
