Complaining all the time. The people who have to amend or repeal those outmoded laws benefit from those laws so why will they reform the system? When were MPs taking double salary is that an ethical issue or corruption? Single source has to be cancelled completely but they won't do because politicians use it to loot. 100 million USD a year contract was single sourced, how come? It is not just about a law staying for long in the statute books but the people. The British don't even have a written constitution, but they are able to govern themselves better. We have a written one but dont follow it.
