I suggest you read copies of T E Bowdich, Barbot, Bossman, Baden Powell, R S Ratrray"s etc account of what happened from 1600 - 1930s. Not the wishy-washy sanitised crap that our own so-called historians copied from them and then dreadfully embellished them to suit their own prejudices. For what is worth, you can also buy a copy of Sir Garnet Woseley"s own diary account and read. It will separate fact from fiction that some of you so cherish. Thanks!

You have to be passionate about the topic and read from various authors who were dwelling within the Gold Coast at the time. All you have to do is for example, feed your computer with say, books written by Meredith, Reade, Lady, Hodgson, Bowditch, Bossman, Barbot, Armitage, Cruickshank, Lady Guggisberg, Rattray, etc about the Gold Coast and they will pop up. Bear in mind, they are all different authors. I have narrowed it to their surnames. Some were French, Dutch, English, Danish etc. Eg, Barbot book about the Gold Coast. They are not cheap books and I hope you will have the same dedication as I have in pursuing historical facts. I must admit, I have a lot of respect for you for being so civil. Good luck!

Now the Asante king has agreed to accept the deal for renting them their own artefacts stolen hundreds of years ago. If it's the laws of the United kingdom to never return stolen artefacts to their predecessors then the Asante king should not even accept that deal because according to the law it will not be possible whether rent or loan or whatsoever. Now this is where things are going to get interesting. The deal is never about the artefacts or the golden crown or Asante power or whatever the king is saying to his people, but rather a deal made to his best interest to smuggle and loot gold to the United kingdom. The British will bring replicates (fake) of these so called Asante kingdom artefacts and when the date is due to return these items back to the UK they will then forge real golden items and loot more in addition (after the 3 years loan) and this is going to be a loop thing and a tradition that will last between the British Kingdom and the Asante Kingdom. The artefacts you see is fake and the King is very much aware of this. In a nutshell they are Trading Gold!!!

Under the surrender agreement after the war I do not think seizing those artefacts were part of it and because of this the laws prohibiting these are null and void.
Furthermore, the artefacts were not purchase or used in exchange for a particular article of Commerce. There were war bounty and should be returned.
