Not the UK. Not China. There is a reason why they don't do that. A flat rate is utopian. But for the stealing by this Akufo Addo government, a lot of revenue that was earned could have been put to good use. Thank God, Ghana is not China. Many people would have been condemned to death in this Akufo Addo government. Bawumia has not learned his lessons. A theory does not translate into practice overnight.

The proposal by Bawumia is bad for the country because many students would be unwilling to do the service fueling corruption in the public sector. Students will be enticed to get straight employment after school to earn better salary than those who opt to do the service. This will create bribery and corruption in public offices for people wanting jobs to work right away. Poor graduates would be compelled to chunk out big cash to corrupt officials in government institutions to secure jobs. Either the National Service remain as it is or cancel it out right.

Again they proposed 24 hours economy which is also not possible because there’s no money in the system to employ many people even just one shift is a problem to many employers that’s why many Ghanaians salaries are too small the employers and government who is under IMF are struggling to pay their workers salaries and allowance where is the money to pay for 24 hours service it’s not possible . It about time politicians have to be serious with the Ghanaian citizens we want our economy to grow and create many jobs opportunities for Ghanaians and at the time see developments and many infrastructure that’s what we the voters want so the politicians should dream big it’s not a joke government is a serious business Ghana is far behind in terms of development travel to some of these African countries and see how they have built their roads and other many infrastructure you will be shocked. We got to be serious as a nation every Ghanaian has role to play in our national development making sure to keep our environment clean is also part of it. Let find solutions to our problems that’s what matters to us.
