The free-for-all melee that ensued meant that anybody could have been attacked. But it was obviously not the Honourable man himself attacking somebody. In the video you have made references to he could visibly be seen reprimanding the security for their laxity that allowed the disruption. For someone who was present at the scene, there was not a single physial attack on a person by himself. It is difficult for someone to want force down on him when obviously there was not a case. I challenge anybody who has a video of him raising his finger on someone to please bring that forth.

Admittedly, from the video footages, you could see a lot of people being beaten including the EC officers by supporters of Hajia Abibata. The concern of Hon.Farouk Aliu Mahama was to question the security for allowing that to happen. When the information of the attack of Alabira got to his table, through a statement and media liaisons, he expressed his sympathies and offered to support him.

For him, to move to cleanse his reputation, was to dismiss involvement and consequently raise demand notice calling for a retraction.
