The government messed the economy, seeking loan from the IMF the institution has placed its officer directly in Ghana to oversee the economy. So government has to go and beg for the IMF to drop the electricity tax. Very soon the IMF will impose tax number of times a man sleeps with his wife. It's not unthinkable. From what I derived from the governments statement, it means they are looking for more avenues to create taxes and syphon money from the ordinary Ghanaian to pay for their loans. And one of such is the vehicle pollution tax.
