How can you impose a 10% tax on betting, 15% tax on electricity and between ¢150 - ¢300 on emissions tax in this economy? How insensitive can you be!

Please organised Labour, the tax is fair. The informal sector does not pay tax. As for tax on electricity, they cannot avoid it. If this VAT is successful it can go a long way to reduce our income tax on our salaries.

the regular Ghanaian workers already pay income taxes on the meager salary. They would be same people paying the 15% VAT.

With NPP under Tyrant Akufo Addo and Akyeam Mafia's everything is possible. I pray we don't see another fiasco like the case between Wuntumi and Kumasi Traditional Council. They will use the stolen money to buy the Trade Union leadership or crate division on their front by influencing the members. NPP under Akufo Addo will always have their way.

The irony of this strike action is too much. Over the past few yrs the civil service on particular has become the biggest institution that causes the most waste to our resources. Their incompetence runs into billions each yr yet they are the first to make all kinds of demands. The question is......who is supposed to implement govt policies and ensure that our leaders don't just dip their hands into our coffers? Civil servants. So how then can the very same people who cause as so much financial loss dare demand better working terms? Ironic isn't it
What next after the demonstration
