  I don't think there should be preferential treatment or gender bias in selecting an MP.
  The work of an MP is all about how you can well represent the needs of your constituents. Selection of an MP should be based on how convincing and trustworthy the candidate is regardless of gender
  
  I have seen female MPs who have performed abysmally for 3 consecutive terms to the point that over 80 percent of her constituents regretted voting for her
  I have also seen male MPs performed horribly and neglected their constituencies for more than two terms.
  Communities need development and they will only vote for aspirants who they can trust to improve their wellbeing regardless of sex.

  I agree perfectly with the analyst. This gender affirmative thing is gradually emasculating men and pushing them into the background with gender triumphing over wisdom and intelligence. Why can't we simply have a fair playing field, allow for fair competition and let brains triumph over gender!

  Women are essentially the beneficiaries of ALL THE MARITAL LAWS IN THE WORLD TO THE DETRIMENT OF MEN And must be encouraged by this fact.
  THAT NOTWITHSTANDING THEY POSSESS THE REQUISITE QUALITIES TO ACHIEVE ANY DREAM THEY SET THEIR EYES ON. AND SO WITH THE BLESSINGS OF THE MEN FOLKS LET OUR WOMEN ARISE AND UNLEASH THEIR POTENTIAL NOW.

  I agree. They should progress based on hard work and ability and because of gender. Look at Adwoa safo is the poster child for this.
