  He wasn't the first Black engineer in history. Black engineers had existed as far back as Kush in 3000 BC. He's not even the first Ashanti engineer. The Ashanti Empire had engineers who were constructing roads, bridges, furnaces, factories, mechanical tools, weapons and mining experts way before him in the 18th century. Africans should learn their history and realise they achieved these without Western guidance.
