Two killed in accident at Agona Abodom

Agona Swedru (C/R) Jan. 03, GNA-Two persons died on the spot while four others sustained various degrees of injuries when a taxi cab collided with a private car near Agona Abodom on Saturday. The dead were; Mr. Kweku Esuon, driver of the taxi and his unidentified passenger. According to a spokesman of the Agona Abodom Police, the four were returning from an Engagement ceremony at Gomoa Eshiem when the incident occurred. He mentioned the injured as Mr. Raphael Abutey, driver of the unregistered private car, Mr. Emmanuel Apoh-Mensah, Miss Gilberta Azu, 18 and Miss Linda Safowa, 19, all passengers on the private car. The spokesman said the four who are in a critical condition are on admission at the Agona Swedru Government Hospital. He said the bodies have also been deposited at the mortuary of the same hospital while police investigations continue. Dr. Apetorgbor Dzordorgbe, Medical Superintendent of the Agona Swedru Government Hospital, said doctors and nurses were working "around the clock" to save the lives of the four persons. 3 Jan. 10
