Nduom quits government

Minister for Public Sector Reform, Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom has resigned.

Dr. Nduom, who is a leading member of the Convention People's Party, has served as minister of state under President Kufuor since 2001, serving previously as Energy Minister as well as Minister responsible for Regional Integration and NEPAD.

He says he's quitting the government to help his party build the necessary structures as the nation prepares for the general elections next year. He remains the CPP's MP for Komenda Edina Eguafo Constituency.
