Korle Bu CEO receives endorsement from key NPP leaders

Political observers say the Chief Executive of Korle-Bu Teaching hospital Prof. Kwabena Frimpong-Boateng could prove wrong those who think he has no chance in his bid to lead the NPP in 2008.

Some analysts see Prof. Kwabena Frimpong-Boateng?s contest with known heavy weights like Nana Akuffo Addo and Yaw Osafo Marfo as a Herculean task.

The heart surgeon?s announcement that he intends to contest for President in 2008 on the ticket of the ruling NPP has been greeted with mixed public reactions.

While some doubt he would make a good politician, others believe he has the capabilities to lead the country.

However, the first and major hurdle he has to cross will be to win the support of core members of the party who consider him as a newcomer.

But as Sampson Lardi Ayenini of LUV FM reports from Kumasi the Professor has already won over some of the core members including the NPP MP for Asokwa.
