UGCC celebrates resurrection of Christ

The United Ghanaian Community Church (UGCC), a congregation of the Presbyterian Church, USA (PCUSA) in Philadelphia has gradually become the biggest Ghanaian Presbyterian Church in the state of Pennsylvania. The most annointing moment of the service to witness, is during the second time for 'Praises' where christ is showered with praises in a true Ghanaian fashion and that always deserves a spotlight.

On Easter Sunday , UGCC celebrated the resurrection of Jesus Christ in grand Ghanaian style. The service was attended by over 320 worshippers marked by baptism and dedication of children.

The church which celebrated its 10th anniversary on Christmas Day, 2005 started with 6 members in an apartment in Philadelphia, PA, USA. On this occasion, there was a presentation of special plaques of recognition to four outstanding founding members of the church, namely: Baaba Ofosu-Donkoh, Ambrose Ohene Darko, Joana Gladys Darko and Rebecca Okyere. Ghanaweb congratulates the four founding members of the church for their awards. They are a shining example to all.
