Miss Ghana 2004 Visits Ghana Embassy UK

GHANA?S ENVOY TO THE UK URGES MISS GHANA TO KEEP THE NATIONAL FLAG ALOFT
Mr. Isaac Osei, Ghana?s High Commissioner to the UK has urged Miss Ghana 2003 to keep the flag of the nation aloft in all major competitions and activities she would be engaging in during her reign.

He was confident that as a worthy ambassador of the country, she would always remember to carry herself as an embodiment of a beautiful African lady who could be looked upon as a role model for prospective participants in subsequent Miss Ghana competitions. Mr. Osei made these remarks during a courtesy call on him by Miss Ghana 2003, Ms. Serena Naa Dei Ashi-Roye at his office. Those present during the courtesy call included Mr. Kwabena Baah-Duodu, Deputy High Commissioner, Mr. Fritz Andoh, Minister-Counsellor (Information) and Ms Mavis Amankwa, London agent of Miss Ghana saying that ?the Miss World Competition is about beauty with a purpose?. During discussions, Mr. Osei said he was impressed by her enthusiasm and determination to succeed in all her undertakings. He was happy that the duties attached to her new office had not disrupted her studies. Ms. Ashi-Roye was optimistic about her chances in the Miss World competition scheduled to take place in China in December this year.
