John Boadu has lauded the National Women’s Organizer of the NPP for her dazzling performance during her vetting with the Appointment Committee of parliament.

To him, Madam Otiko Afisa Djaba’s performance was exceptional as she exhibited bravery when questioned by some committee members.

“I was impressed by her performance. We must stand for something. The vetting procedure is not a time to retract some comments made previously just because you want a post. Otiko was brave enough to maintain her comment” he told Kwesi Aboagye on NEAT FM’s morning show Ghana Montie

Gender Minister-designate Otiko Afisa Djaba who faced the vetting committee yesterday was in the news after she had rejected attempts by some NDC members on the committee to apologise to former President John Dramani Mahama for some “distasteful” comment she made.

But the yet-to-be minister stood by her words and upheld that Mr. John Mahama was “Wicked” and “embarrassment” due to his inability to develop the three Northern country where he comes from.

She also urged Ghanaians to set an example in speech as a way of sanitising the airwaves.

She made the comment in response to a question posed by former Deputy Education minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, one of the young appointees under the former National Democratic Congress (NDC) government.

He wanted to know how Otiko Djaba would serve as a role model to children in using temperate language.

In her responses filled with innuendos, the “Iron Lady” said "babies with sharp teeth” should be a thing of the past.

The phrase was first used in Ghana’s political circle by Mr. John Jerry Rawlings to describe young politicians in the NDC skilled in denigrating comments and hurling invectives.

Although the president did not mention names - Okudzeto Ablakwa was tipped to be one of the “babies with sharp teeth”
