The Planning Committee of the 37th anniversary of the June 4 Uprising, has announced that a wreath-laying ceremony will be held at the Revolution Square, Accra on Saturday, June 4, 2016, to mark this year’s anniversary.

The occasion will be held on the theme: “Revolution, The Hard Road To Democracy.”

It will be addressed by former President Jerry John Rawlings, leader of the Uprising and the December 1981 Revolution, as well as other leading members and cadres of the Uprising and the Revolution.

The planning committee, in a statement, reminded all cadres, sympathisers of the 4 June Revolution and members of the general public, who are attending the event, to assemble by 7 am at the venue to ensure a prompt start of the short memorial event.
