The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the opposition New Patriotic Party [NPP] Bernard Antwi Boasiako says – “Ghana is living in a state of emergency” under the Mahama-led NDC government.

He directed a strong warning to the Inspector General of Police [IGP], COP John Kudalor that – “If he allowed himself to be influenced by the president in this election year, then Ghana is likely to be like other war zone countries.”

The controversial politician, however, commended the IGP and his men for their immediate search to arrest the alleged killer of Abuakwa North MP, Joseph Boakye Danquah-Adu.

To him – “That is a sign that the IGP can work independently if he doesn’t allow himself to be influenced by the president.”

Speaking on NEAT FM’s morning show dubbed Ghana Montie, Chairman Wontumi as christened in politics noted that all the recent unfortunate happenings in the country... “cache of arms intercepted, Fulani war, contract killings, Kumasi Tafo unrest” send a signal of ‘worse’ things to happen this year.

“Ghana is not completely sick, but we are not well at all,” he stated.
