A young woman has been found dead in a suspected suicide at her home located behind the Adonis Cinema Palace in Wa, Upper West, in the early hours of Friday, August 28, 2026.

According to a video shared on X, residents alerted the police after discovering the body.

In the 10-second video, residents were captured removing the body and placing it inside a white cloth while they moved it away from the room in which the body was discovered.

Meanwhile, further details, including the identity of the deceased and the official cause of death, have not yet been released by police.

"A young lady has been found dead in an apparent suicide at her home behind the Adonis Cinema Palace in Wa in the early hours of today.

"...Residents reportedly discovered her body hanging with a sponge before notifying the police. The body has since been removed as investigations into the incident continue," the caption to the video on X stated.
