Party executive advised to live above reproach

Atebubu (B/A), Feb 12, GNA- Mr Amankwa Kokro, Chairman of the Finance and Administration Sub-Committee of the Atebubu District Assembly in Brong-Ahafo, has cautioned executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) at all levels to live above reproach.

He said they must not use their positions to pressurise district assemblies and district tender boards to award them contracts for which they were not qualified and competent to execute.

Speaking in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Atebubu on Monday, Mr Kokro, who is also the Assemblyman for Kokrompe, said the assemblies had been under pressure from some executives for the award of contracts.

Mr Kokro said this situation was occurring because the party executives disregard instructions from the technical evaluation team and consultants on the award of contracts.

He reminded the party executives of the impending general elections and that the party could only retain power if it did proper organisation.
