Renowned actress and media personality Nana Ama McBrown has praised musician Medikal for his sold-out concert at the United Kingdom's Indigo O2 on May 3, 2024, while revealing the level of her anxiety prior to the event.

According to her, she had initial doubts about Medikal's ability to fill the venue, which led her to fervently pray for his success.

McBrown praised Medikal's outstanding performance, which not only entertained the audience but also elevated Ghanaian music on the global stage.

In a conversation with Medikal on Onua TV and monitored by GhanaWeb, McBrown said, "Let me congratulate you. I was anxious during your [Indigo] O2 show, yet you managed to break the record. I prayed for divine assistance, and seeing the auditorium packed while you delivered an exceptional performance was exactly what Ghanaians hoped for. God bless you."

Medikal, visibly moved by the accolades from the esteemed actress, expressed his gratitude for her kind words.

“I appreciate your comments a lot, may God bless you too," said the rapper.

Medikal's concert at the Indigo O2, boasting an approximate seating capacity of 2,800, was announced as sold out shortly before the show began.

Before Medikal's appearance, several artistes, including Article Wan, warmed up the audience with performances, while MCs kept the excitement levels high with popular Ghanaian tracks.

An hour and 40 minutes in, Medikal took center stage, performing some of his hit songs.

He was joined by some of Ghana's top artistes, such as Shatta Wale, Sarkodie, Jay Bhad, Bisa Kdei, and Efya. Sister Derby, Medikal's ex-girlfriend, also made a surprise appearance.

The triumphant evening marked Medikal's entry into an exclusive club, alongside Sarkodie, as the only Ghanaian rappers to have sold out the Indigo O2.
